Windsurfing: Hayling Island Wind Direction: W Wind Stength: 30-45 Surf / Sea State: chop, 4 foot out back Air Temperature: 22? Sea Temperature: 20 Weather: sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Remains of ex-hurricane Bertha produced a meaty depression, loads of rain
in the morning with SSE winds that swung westerly.
Launched at 3pm, 2 hours before low tide, but more like 2 hours after, the
south wind pushed the tide higher snd held it up. The result was almost
standing waves ont he bar and oddly no wind in the breakers!
4.5 was prob too big, but I think 3.7 would have been too small.
(Crash) landed a back loop in the straps with nose of board going into
water, but then face planted into sail. Felt good with easy smooth
rotation, maybe sheeting out at end may help?
